I am an avid PBN painter. I bought a few Elle Cree kits last spring but the kit itself was so pretty that I just admired them. I just painted my first one and now I want to order all of them. The paints are like silk. Yes, some of the usual translucent acrylic colors (reds, yellows, greens) need a second coat. Ordinarily, I would be annoyed, but these paints are such a pleasure to use that I enjoyed gliding over them again. The brushes are Princeton brand which are some of the best you can buy. I’ve never seen them included in any PBN kit before. This is a high quality kit.

I enjoyed this painting immensely. It was the first one I did with a black background and I found I like that better than the other background options. It turned out lovely and I was able to take it along and finish on a family camping trip.
